Which bike maintenance app should you pick in 2026?
Five apps share the bike maintenance tracking market: ChainLog, ProBikeGarage, mainTrack, Geer and Bikerly. None is strictly better than the others - they answer different needs. This page compares the five on the axes that actually matter, then takes each competitor head-to-head with ChainLog.

The tailoring
A road chain doesn't wear like an MTB chain
5,000 km for a clean road chain, 1,500 km for a muddy MTB chain. ChainLog tailors thresholds to your terrain, conditions, weight and maintenance - to alert you neither too early nor too late.
The shortcut
One photo of your invoice is enough
Snap your invoice, ChainLog fills the maintenance form: component, date, brand, amount. Save and you're done.
The difference
What a ChainLog certificate looks like
A timestamped public page with installed components, dated replacements, invoices and mileage. No competitor offers an equivalent to date.
See a real certificate →How to choose

- You just keep a manual log, no alerts→Bikerly
- You want tailored alerts and a resale certificate, for free→ChainLog
Frequently asked questions
Which is the best bike maintenance tracking app in 2026?
None wins on every axis. ProBikeGarage leads on maturity and storage, mainTrack on iOS-only hour-based tracking, Geer on simplicity, Bikerly on lightweight manual logging, ChainLog on profile tailoring and resale certificate - all free. The right pick depends on your use case: see the table and "How to choose" above.
Can I import my data from ProBikeGarage, Geer or Bikerly into ChainLog?
Not directly today - none of these apps exports in a standard format. ChainLog connects to Strava and Ride with GPS to rebuild your mileage history automatically. Past services (chain swaps, brake pads, etc.) need to be re-entered manually, but it usually takes less than 10 minutes per bike.
Which apps run on Android?
ProBikeGarage is the only one with a native Android app. ChainLog, Geer and Bikerly are web apps (PWA) that install from your Android browser, work offline once installed, and take virtually no space. mainTrack stays iOS-only.
Is the ChainLog maintenance certificate recognized for resale?
It has no legal or official status - no equivalent does on this market. It's a timestamped public page listing installed components, dated replacements, invoices and mileage. At resale, it serves the same role as a car service book: a verifiable history that reassures the buyer and justifies the asking price.
Will ChainLog stay free?
The current free tier is the main offering and we have no intent to remove it. Core features (alerts, tailoring, certificate, Strava/Ride with GPS sync, multilingual) will stay accessible with no paywall. A paid tier may appear later for advanced features (team management, extended storage, pro integrations). If anything changes, it will be announced clearly in advance.
